Natasha Barrault bags are unique companion pieces, designed between the South of France and Los Angeles and assembled by hand in Tunisia out of new stock of vintage materials such as upholstery trims and men’s ties fabrics. Paired with these is a handsome canvas exclusively woven in Tunisian workshops. Details such as vintage chains add luxurious finishing touches on the bags. By revisiting centuries old traditions and using textiles produced for us in Tunisia, we are helping artisans keeping their crafts alive. By sourcing vintage stock, we are reducing the amount of materials used and giving timeless fabrics and trimmings a second chance.
Born and raised in Paris, Natasha worked in the film industry before moving to London where she started her career as a couture accessories designer. From 1990, the company, based in both London and Paris, was selling to major department stores and some of the best fashion retailers across America, Europe and Asia. Client list included Barneys New York, Henri Bendel and Neiman Marcus in America; Harvey Nichols, Fortnum and Mason and Browns of London in London; Victoire in Paris; Joyce, Takashimaya and Barneys Japan in Asia. Having worked as an interior and landscape designer for most of the past 2 decades, Natasha started designing a new bag line while in Los Angeles. The brand is now being established between the south of France, Paris, L.A, and Tunisia, all connected in its development.
